Rob Ayling and I have been mates for the best part of a quarter of a century, and he intermittently pops down to my place in rural North Devon to be rude to me, and to eat my wife's delicious home-made cake. He talks about the Gonzo ethos, the lost broadcasts, and forthcoming releases by Frank Zappa, Stephen Stills and Captain Beefheart.
