DAN WOODING AT THE 2Is

Dan Wooding is (as any fule kno) the author of the massively smashing Rick Wakeman biography that we published the other month. He is also a very nice man, and a joy to work with, which is a jolly good thing as we are presently working on another book by him. It is the story of veteran British rock and roller Terry Dene, who was touted as the 'British Elvis' but never quite got there.

I don't know whether it is because of Terry Dene, or whether he just wanted to pay homage to an under celebrated generation of British rockers (who are usually consigned to the NFA file of history) but Dan recently visited the site of the 2Is Coffee Bar - the venue which was for that lost generation of British rockers, what The Cavern, in Matthew St, Liverpool, was to The Beatles and their pals a few years later.
