LINK: Barbara's 'Pride of Scotland' award

PRIDE of Dunfermline Barbara Dickson is now also officially the 'Pride of Scotland' after she picked up a prestigious award in recognition of her achievements. At the glitzy Tartan Clef Awards in Glasgow singing great Barbara received the Sir Reo Stakis Pride of Scotland Award.  Her long singing career started as a pupil at Woodmill High and she later joined the local folk music scene. She hooked up on the circuit with other folk singers of the time like Billy Connolly and Gerry Rafferty before going on to break into the charts with hits like 'Answer Me', 'Caravan Song' and 'January Song'.
